Join a global leader in Power Generation and take ownership of major commercial and data centre projects across Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a fast‑paced, highly visible role where you’ll manage complex projects from planning through to delivery, working alongside clients, builders, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Manage commercial and data centre projects across VIC from planning through to delivery
- Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, procurement, and on‑site project activities
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across vendors, suppliers, and all processes
- Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets, forecasting, costs and revenue projections
- Support global account teams to ensure alignment in project delivery methods and communication
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes
- Proactively identify, manage and resolve project issues to keep projects on track and delivered safely and efficiently
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Experience in Project Management within construction, infrastructure, electrical, mechanical or power generation environments
- Robust stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously
- Financial and commercial awareness with a focus on project outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a related discipline (preferred)
Role Description
Power Generation Project Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution and successful completion of power generation projects, with the added scope of team management and leadership. These projects typically involve the construction, commissioning and maintenance of various types of power generation equipment and associated balance‑of‑plant. The Project Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Skills, Qualifications Required / Desirable
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2 etc.) is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- In‑depth knowledge of power generation technologies, regulations and industry standards
- Ability to handle complex technical and operational challenges
- Experience in managing cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- High attention to detail and organisational skills
