About Us

Our client, a Japanese company, is seeking an experienced Japanese-Speaking Accountant or Senior Accountant to support the management and broader finance function. The successful candidate will have solid Australian accounting experience, strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in both Japanese and English.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities and duties of the role include:

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial accounting records
- Assist with financial reporting and taxation accounting
- Support the management with financial and operational matters
- Use Xero and other accounting applications to maintain financial information
- Provide supervision,



support and training to junior accountants
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance duties as required by the business

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes, skills and experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an Australian university will be highly regarded
- About there years’ accounting experience in Australia
- Previous experience in similar role
- Hands-on experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Xero and other accounting applications will be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience in supervising and training junior accountants
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Japanese
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- A team-oriented approach, with the flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements
- Ability to commute to the workplace by car
