We are seeking a full time Painting Trades Worker with Rope access licence (IRATA) to join Converge Services on the Gold Coast. The role involves preparing, repairing and finishing residential and/or commercial surfaces, applying paint and protective coatings, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently. Salary: $79,423 - $82,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, filling cracks, removing old paint and cleaning surfaces.
- Protect surrounding areas by using drop sheets, masking materials and appropriate preparation methods.
- Mix, match and prepare paints, stains, varnishes and other finishes to meet job specifications.
- Apply paint, varnish, stains and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.




- Carry out finishing work to ensure surfaces are smooth, consistent and completed to a professional standard.
- Set up and safely use ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment where required.
- Inspect completed work and carry out touch-ups or repairs where necessary.
- Clean and maintain tools, painting equipment and work areas.
- Work in accordance with safety procedures, site requirements and project timelines.

Key Skills and Experience

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, Certificate IV, or equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Painting Trades Worker, Painter or in a closely related role.
- Fluent in English.
