About the Role TheEpilepsy Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC)willprovide specialist clinical care, patientconsultation,advanced nursingleadership, educationand care coordination for patients managed by the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. The role provides continuity of care across emergency,inpatientand outpatient settings, ensuring patients receivetimely, coordinated and evidence-based care throughout their epilepsy journey. The CNC acts as a consistent point of contact for patients, carers and healthcare professionals,facilitatesprogression through complex care pathways including epilepsy surgery, supports multidisciplinary team (MDT) decision-making, and contributes to service development, qualityimprovementand staff education.

Provide longitudinal careconsultation and carecoordination for patients with complex epilepsy across outpatient,inpatientand emergency settings. Act as a designated epilepsy resource for patients requiring non-urgent clinical advice using agreed service communication pathways. Coordinate patients progressing through the epilepsy surgery pathways (including stereo-EEG),ensuringtimelycompletion of required investigations and multidisciplinary review.

Classifications for this position will beZJ4($113,646.00 pro rata per annum)





Your Contribution Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration NationalPolice Check Post Graduate Qualification in relevant discipline Demonstrated experience in neuroscience or epilepsy nursing.

About The Department of Neurosciences The Department of Neurosciences is dedicated to delivering excellent, evidence-based and compassionate neurological care to Victorian patients from metropolitan, regional and nearby interstate areas.

Clinical Neurosciences is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to improving the understanding and treatment of neurological disorders. The unit provides a complete clinical and diagnostic service andmaintainsa strong research focus; principally centred on epilepsy, multiplesclerosisand movement disorders.
