We are seeking a motivated Journalist to join our dynamic regional News Team in Canberra. This role requires roster flexibility, with some weekend work and extra hours when the news day demands. You will be responsible for gathering, editing and presenting compelling local news stories in a composed, accurate and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key people and organisations
- Breaking stories and creating engaging content
- Representing the Company in a qualified and courteous manner





Qualifications

- Recently graduated from a Journalism Course
- Solid understanding of media law and ethics
- Competency in script writing in TV News format
- Meticulous attention to detail and some experience in a newsroom
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the local community
- Ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines
