Hestia Joinery is seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. The successful applicant will manufacture, assemble, install, repair and refurbish high-quality cabinetry and furniture for residential and commercial projects while maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Examine drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine job specifications.
- Select and work with timber, veneers, particle board, synthetic wood and other engineered wood products.
- Program and operate computer-aided design (CAD) and computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to mark out, cut and shape components.
- Manufacture cabinets and furniture in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Install cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms and commercial fit-out projects.
- Manufacture fittings for boats, caravans and other projects requiring fine detail.
- Assemble cabinet and furniture components into completed products.
- Apply protective coatings and finishes to cabinets and furniture.
- Fit hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves and other associated hardware.




- Construct frames for chairs, couches and other furniture items.
- Manufacture reproduction furniture where required.
- Repair and refurbish furniture, including antique furniture.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications

- Certificate III in Cabinet Making
- Minimum of One to two years' relevant post-qualification experience as a Cabinet Maker.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience operating woodworking machinery, CAD and CNC equipment.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication, organisational and time management skills.

Employment Details

- Position: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: AUD $80,000 to $82,000per annum plus Superannuation
