About the prospect

The University of Sydney is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and intellectually curious International Data & Engagement Coordinator to support our growing international advancement and alumni engagement program.

Working closely with the Deputy Director, US and UK Advancement, you will play a critical role in helping strengthen the University's relationships with alumni, volunteers, supporters and prospective donors across the US and UK. This newly established position offers the opportunity to build processes, establish best practice approaches and make a meaningful contribution to the success of our US and UK engagement strategies.

A key focus of the role is improving the quality, accuracy and richness of alumni and stakeholder information within the University's Advancement CRM. Using a combination of desktop research, stakeholder outreach and data analysis, you'll help uncover valuable insights about alumni communities, identify opportunities for alumni engagement, volunteering and relationship building, and support informed engagement strategies across priority communities.

You will work at pace across a range of priorities, from preparing briefing materials for senior stakeholder meetings and events, to researching alumni career journeys and professional networks, validating information across multiple sources and building meaningful engagement opportunities. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys investigation, relationship mapping, stakeholder engagement and creating order from complex information.

In this role, you will:

support the delivery of alumni engagement, volunteer and prospect development engagement initiatives across the US and UK markets

conduct detailed research using LinkedIn, professional directories, company websites and other public sources to identify and validate alumni information

enhance the quality,



integrity and contact ability of alumni records within the University's CRM

identify and map relationships between alumni, supporters, organisations, trusts and foundations

prepare high-quality briefing notes, research summaries and stakeholder information for meetings, events and engagement activities

liaise directly with alumni and other stakeholders to support engagement, relationship development and data enhancement activities

contribute to reporting, process improvement initiatives and data integrity across the Advancement portfolio.

About you

You are naturally curious and enjoy uncovering information, connecting people and identifying opportunities that others may miss. You are highly organised, thrive in a fast-paced environment and can confidently balance competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

You will bring:

experience working with CRM platforms, databases, with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity

excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders

strong written communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, reports, research summaries and stakeholder correspondence

the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and proactively identify solutions in a developing and evolving environment

excellent project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver outcomes at speed while maintaining quality

experience supporting stakeholder engagement, relationship management, alumni relations, fundraising, business development or similar programs

a high level of curiosity, initiative, resilience and adaptability, with a passion for fact-finding and problem solving.
