We are working with a highly regarded CBD firm practising exclusively in family law. They are an award-winning firm for two consecutive years reflecting the culture they built and the people who make it happen.
They are looking for a Legal Assistant to join their busy, friendly practice in their newly renovated Melbourne CBD office.
What Does the Role Involve?
- Preparing legal documents, correspondence, memos and emails
- Liaising with clients and staff on day-to-day matters
- Diary management
- Collating disclosure and preparing briefs to Counsel
- Opening, maintaining and closing files
- Time recording and billing
- PEXA property settlements
- Other administrative tasks as required
Ideal Candidate Attributes
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Motivated and highly organised, with a proactive approach
- Career paralegal or legal assistant - not suitable for students
- Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- A confident, professional approach with clients and colleagues
- A collaborative team player
