FairfieldCity Council is expanding its open space areas and is seeking experiencedHorticulturist to join our Parks and Open Space Team in a Permanent Full-Timecapacity.

We arelooking for highly motivated, physically fit individuals with a solid workethic to help maintain and enhance our Parks and Open Space areas. ESSENTIAL

- Previousexperience in maintenance of parks and gardens (typically 2 years)
- Experienceoperating and maintaining small horticultural machinery (mower, blower, Chainsaw/polesaw)
- WHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
- Current Class 1A driver’s licence

DESIRABLE

- Chem Cert Certificate (AQF3) NSW and experience with operating weed spraying equipment
- Operation ofwoodchipper
- MR/HR licence

SALARY & EMPLOYMENTCONDITIONS:

- Permanent, full-time position, 76 hours per fortnight
- This position is a Grade D, salary range is $74, 034 p.a. with progression to $77, 784 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, withperformance progression to $86, 720 p.a, plus 12% Superannuation
- A uniform is provided
