About the Role

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in securing new work and supporting the successful delivery of projects. You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for structural steel and construction projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.

Key Responsibilities

- Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and tender submissions
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Develop labour, material, equipment, and resource estimates
- Attend site inspections, pre-tender meetings, and client consultations




- Identify project risks and opportunities during the tender process
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and operational teams
- Maintain estimating records and ensure compliance with company standards

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

- Experience in estimating within construction, structural steel, fabrication, or related industries
- Strong knowledge of structural steel construction methods and fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software

Highly Regarded

- Trade qualification in fabrication, boilermaking, construction, or a related field
- Previous dedicated estimating experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management
- Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to structural steel and fabrication
