- Includes a fully maintained council vehicle for commuter (home garage) use.

The Senior Maintenance Officer plays a key role within council that will work closely with the Building Coordinator to oversee the successful delivery of maintenance operations within council's projects and places team.
The successful applicant will be expected to deliver efficient and safe maintenance and minor capital works across Council facilities.
To be successful in this role you will need
Qualifications
- Current Victorian driver licence
- Employee working with children check
Desirable Qualifications
- Trade certificate or equivalent in plumbing or electrical trades.
Experience
- Experience in plumbing/building / property maintenance and minor capital works.
- Experience in work identification and programming, and project management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of council-used computer programs and software as relevant to the position and tasks.
Key selection criteria
- Proven experience supervising maintenance staff and / or contractors.
- Ability to allocate work, set priorities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Thorough understanding of WHS Legislation, policies and safe work practices
- Experience in planning and scheduling maintenance programs
