Southern Cross Motel Group are actively seeking experienced professional Permanent Motel Management Teams or Contract Management Teams with strong food and beverage focus for their expanding portfolio throughout regional Queensland and New South Wales.

Our Full Time Managers work on a roster that offers 14 days off at the end of every cycle plus a great home, with utilities, meals, competitive salary.

- Blue Shades, Maryborough QLD commence mid September 2026
- Parkes NSW, both properties require strong Food & Beverage requirements one month on, two months off

The Role:

Take full management responsibility of these busy motels with themed food & beverage venues. We are a Four Start Regional Motel Group that pride ourselves on a high standard of regional accommodation and with our own Branded food and beverage business that caters to our customer's needs. Our managers perform the key function of ensuring that we build a strong and effective teams and that our service culture is met whilst maximizing profitability whilst delivering superior customer service.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations within each department of the motel, including Front Office and Reception, Dinner and Breakfast Service, Housekeeping, Grounds and Maintenance.
- Be hands on and lead by example.
- Provide effective leadership, guidance, and communication.
- Provide support and training on the motels standards, policies and procedures,



operational requirements, and business objectives.
- Manage the operational performance of the motel through meeting and exceeding set budgetary requirements.
- Proactively seek sales and marketing opportunities,
- Ensue a focus on continuous business development in Food and Beverage through proactive selling and online social media application.
- Manage performance of employees, coordinate recruitment, induction, training, and development of staff.
- Manage and resolve guest services in a timely and appropriate manner to ensure optimum guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and report weekly and monthly upon the motel's financial performance against the operational budgets.
- Ensure motel is compliant and operating within all company guidelines, as well as compliant to all legal requirements including WH&S;, liquor and food licensing, fire safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Approved Manager of a Licensed Venue
- Room Sales and Online Channel Booking Management. (Guestpoint & Siteminder)
- Experience with Opentable/Kounta and TANDA
- Valuable understanding of both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
- Current National Police Clearance or willingness to undertake
- Great with people and the ability to build rapport easily
- Passionate and motivated to succeed.
- Must be willing to relocate and live onsite.
- Know your roster in Regular scheduled RDO's.
- Be part of a growing business.
