A Senior Payroll Analyst role with an established global Professional Services business in Sydney CBD. For someone who finds the analytical side of payroll the most interesting bit, the data, the reconciliations, the problem-solving, not just the transactional processing.

You’ll own end-to-end payroll, partner with Finance, and use SQL and advanced Excel to get under the hood of what’s actually happening in the numbers. Less “send the file”; more “what is this telling us?” Your data instincts will matter as much as your payroll technical knowledge.

The role

- Own end-to-end payroll across a mid‑size population (outsourced)
- Partner with Finance on GL postings, reconciliations, and payroll reporting
- Use SQL and advanced Excel to analyse, reconcile and stress‑test payroll data
- Drive automation, continuous improvement and smarter reporting, the kind you spot yourself, not the kind you wait to be asked for.




- Stay across full Australian payroll obligations: STP, super, payroll tax, Fair Work

What You’ll bring

- Finance or accounting backbone — CPA/CA (part or fully qualified) is a real plus
