We’reon the hunt for a switched-onPayrollOfficerto join our HR team in Richmond, Melbourne on a part-timebasis.

This is a standalone payroll function with realownership.You'llbe the trusted subject matter expert on payrollacross our group, responsible fortheaccurateandtimelyend-to-end processing of pay forapproximately 150 employees across Australia and New Zealand.

Working acrossEmployment Hero (AU)andPayHero(NZ),you'llensureour people are paid correctly, on time, and in full compliance with allrelevant legislation, awards, and employment agreements.

Genuine flexibility:20 hours per week with thefreedom to set your own schedule-hours can be worked across 3or4days, depending on what works for you. Hybrid working arrangements alsoavailable, so you can mix time in our Richmond office with working fromhome.

What You'll Be Doing

- Processingaccurateend-to-endweekly pay runs across AU and NZ-including overtime, penalty rates,allowances, commissions, leave,terminationsand back pays
- Handlingworkers' compensation (AU) and ACC (NZ) reporting andreconciliations
- Actingas the first point of contact for employee payrollqueries-responding promptly, professionally and with empathy
- Partneringwith People & Culture on the full employee lifecycle, from onboardingto offboarding
- Preparingpayroll journals,



reconciling balance sheet accounts, and producingreports for Finance and leadership
- Identifyingandimplementing process and automation improvements across the payrollfunction
- Stayingcurrent with legislative changes across bothjurisdictionsandapplying them proactively

What You'll Bring

- 2-3years' experience in an end-to-end payroll role, ideally across bothAustralia and New Zealand
- Hands-onexperience with cloud payroll platforms — Employment Heroand/orPayHerohighly regarded
- Solidworking knowledge of Australian payroll legislation: Fair Work Act, NES,Modern Awards, STP Phase 2, super, PAYG and state Payroll Tax
- Workingknowledge of NZ payroll legislation: Holidays Act 2003, EmploymentRelations Act, PAYE, KiwiSaver, ESCT and IRD payday filing
- Confidenceinterpreting and applying Contemporary Awards
- Strongnumerical accuracy anda track recordof delivering pay runs ontime and error-free
- Excellentcommunication skills-able to explain payroll matters clearly tonon-specialists
- Highlevelof discretion, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive datawith care
