Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for a broad range of day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration activities.
Key responsibilities
- Managing aged payables and liaising with suppliers
- Working closely with a small offshore team responsible for invoice entry
- Completing daily bank reconciliations
- Supporting payroll processing, including timesheets and staff expenses
- Assisting with BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG and superannuation obligations
- Reconciling credit cards, general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Preparing aged payables, P&L; summaries and other financial reports
- Maintaining clear communication between local and offshore team members
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and requirements
About you
- 3+ years' bookkeeping or accounting experience in Australia
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger and reconciliations
- Practical experience with BAS and IAS processes
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to confidently manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with both local and offshore colleagues
- Previous experience within the property or construction industry will be highly regarded
