DevOps Engineer | Low Latency Trading Systems | Sydney | Permanent

Work at the intersection of technology, data, and high-performance trading in a globally distributed environment where speed, reliability, and engineering quality truly matter.

This is a hands-on role with end-to-end ownership of development, UAT, and production environments, supporting teams building ultra-low latency trading systems and FPGA solutions.

You’ll be working in a collaborative, engineering-led culture where solving hard technical challenges is part of the daily routine.

Why This Role Might Be Right for You

- You enjoy building and refining CI/CD pipelines that support complex, high-performance systems.
- You thrive in environments where uptime, speed, and precision are non-negotiable.
- You like collaborating directly with engineering teams, from low latency specialists to FPGA developers.
- You want to take responsibility for the full software delivery lifecycle, from development to production releases.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Manage and optimise Linux-based development environments for multiple engineering teams.
- Build, maintain, and improve deployment pipelines for internal tools and trading infrastructure.

- Own and oversee CI/CD ecosystems (preferably GitLab), from configuration to monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Maintain secure and reliable artifact storage, ensuring fast, consistent access to build outputs and dependencies.
- Coordinate production releases, including validation and post-deployment checks.
- Monitor the health and performance of CI/CD infrastructure and developer toolchains.

What We’re Looking For

- Solid programming skills in both a scripting language (Python or Bash preferred) and a systems language (C/C++ preferred).
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker) and configuration management tools (Ansible).
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search, Splunk).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical teams.

If you’re passionate about engineering in high-performance environments and want to make a direct impact on systems operating at scale, this role could be for you.
