We're looking for an experienced Procurement & Contracts Superintendent to lead our procurement and contracts function, delivering commercial value while ensuring robust governance, supplier performance and support to our operational teams.
Ensham Resources is an owner-operated coal mining operation in Central Queensland, managed by South African energy company Thungela.
Our operation includes a productive underground bord and pillar mine and a large-scale rehabilitation project, producing approximately four million tonnes annually.

How you will contribute:
The business requires a procurement and contracts professional who will provide high level expertise and management of contract activities, end-to-end procurement process including tenders, evaluation and negotiations. The role reports to the Finance Manager.
Negotiation and execution of goods and service contracts & supply agreements for ongoing operational contracts and project-based capital requirements
Support and assist departments with contract management, facilitate commercial related reviews including demand analysis and investigation,
price/rate adjustments, extensions and scope changes
Manage the commercial aspects of all supply and service contracts, this includes the strong management of supplier relationships and supporting compliance to company policy and guidelines, site plans and cost reduction requirements

Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent industry and/or organisational experience
Minimum 5yrs experience in equivalent role with demonstrated experienced in facilitating and coordinating end-to-end procurement processes
Heavy Industry or Mining experience (3 years minimum)
Strong leadership and decision-making skills
Strategic focused and value driven
Demonstrated capability to analyse complex data, issues or challenges
Capability to work to deadlines and high level of attention to detail
