We're seeking an experienced Lecturer in Bachelor of Early Childhood Education to join our Higher Education team. About the role:
Reporting to the Academic Course Manager, you will deliver engaging and contemporary teaching within the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education program. Working with domestic and international students, you will prepare, deliver and assess high-quality learning experiences that support academic achievement, graduate outcomes and compliance requirements.
You will play an important role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment while helping maintain Box Hill Institute's reputation for academic excellence and industry relevance.
What you'll do:
- Deliver high-quality on-campus and online teaching to Bachelor of Early Childhood Education students.
- Develop engaging learning resources, assessments and teaching materials that support diverse learning styles.
- Utilise digital learning technologies, including Moodle and Microsoft Teams, to enhance student engagement.
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Identify and support students at risk, referring students to appropriate academic or wellbeing services where required.
- Ensure teaching practices, assessment activities and resources meet regulatory and quality requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team activities and academic discussions.
- Create safe, inclusive and supportive learning environments that promote student success
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate educator with significant early childhood expertise and demonstrated experience teaching within higher education settings. You will bring strong curriculum development capabilities, excellent communication skills and a commitment to creating outstanding student learning experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Doctorate, PhD or Master's qualification in Education specialising in Early Childhood Education and Teaching.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration/membership (Early Childhood).
- Demonstrated experience teaching Early Childhood Education within the Higher Education sector.
- Extensive and current knowledge of the Australian Early Childhood sector
- Experience designing, developing and delivering high-quality learning and assessment resources.
- Proficiency in learning management systems and online teaching platforms such as Moodle, Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity,
inclusion and supporting students from varied backgrounds.
- Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
