This role supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the NSW Electoral Commission’s Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management System, including related policies, procedures, and programs that promote a secure and healthy workplace. The role provides expert WHS advice, champions proactive risk management, and monitors compliance to support safe operations and safeguard staff. Additionally, the role is responsible for facility management services across NSW Electoral Commission sites, coordinating with contracted providers to maintain high-quality amenities and ensure regulatory compliance.
The role is an Ongoing Full-time position.
Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety and knowledge of Workers’ Compensation legislation.
- Strong working knowledge of current Work Health and Safety legislation, with proven experience in conducting safety inspections, investigations, and audits, as well as effective management of workers’ compensation claims.
- Experience in facilities management.
- Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record check result.
