Rydges Australia Square is part of EVT, an experience‑creating group that brings to life leading entertainment, ventures and travel brands. The recently refurbished hotel in Sydney’s CBD is seeking an experienced, passionate and dynamic General Manager to lead the hotel operation.

Base pay range: $140,800.00/yr – $149,600.00/yr

About the Role

Located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, the property’s chief host, brand ambassador and experience creator will be present, visible and engaged. You will drive performance, foster a high‑energy culture and lead with purpose, delivering exceptional service while growing revenue and maintaining operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue growth and profitability.
- Deep understanding of operational frameworks, risk mitigation and WH&S; compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to be present, visible and approachable across all areas of the business.
- Experience building and leading high‑performing teams, driving engagement and developing talent.
- Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasts and Profit & Loss reports with strategic insight.
- Robust sales and customer experience mindset, acting as brand ambassador and chief host.




- Ability to foster community relationships and maintain strong stakeholder networks.
- Comfortable driving innovation and continuous improvement across service and operations.
