Traction Ag is seeking Service Technician/s to join our growing team in Horsham, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining and servicing agricultural equipment for our valued customers. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and maintenance services, ensuring our clients' equipment operates at peak performance. This role is essential to our mission of providing reliable agricultural solutions and building long-term relationships with our customer base.

Key responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on agricultural machinery and equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely and qualified manner
- Conduct preventative maintenance checks and provide customers with recommendations for equipment care
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of all work undertaken
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their equipment issues and explain solutions clearly
- Identify parts that require replacement or repair and source appropriate components
- Assist in training and supporting junior technicians when required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Contribute to achieving service targets and customer satisfaction goals

What we're looking for

- A recognised apprenticeship or qualification in agricultural machinery, diesel technician, or a related trade discipline
- Proven experience as a service or maintenance technician, preferably within the agricultural or heavy equipment sector
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components




- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools relevant to agricultural machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work methodically through complex issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to customers and colleagues
- A commitment to safety and adherence to workplace health and safety regulations
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites as required
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
