Case Worker – Family & Community Wellbeing
Case Worker – Family & Community Wellbeing at Catholic Care, Tennant Creek, NT, AU. Full‑time (38 hrs per week, 8:30am–5pm) with visa sponsorship. Salary commensurate with SCHADS Award GR4 ($93,209+ super). Requires regular weekly travel to AliCurung.

Responsibilities
- Support families with young children and connect families to early learning and care services in AliCurung.
- Work across both communities: Tennant Creek (3days per week) – support children and parenting programmes, run group activities, follow up with families one‑on‑one.
- AliCurung (2days per week) – run a baby playgroup, help deliver a Circle of Security parenting group, connect families with local services.
- Build strong relationships with families, help parents feel confident, and ensure children get the best start in life.
- Improve developmental and wellbeing outcomes for children; increase participation and utilisation of the local childcare centre through engagement, education, advocacy, and family engagement.
- Implement and facilitate strengths‑based case management, mentoring, advocacy, parent education, childcare support and practical assistance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Good interpersonal skills; enjoys working with families.
- Strong communication skills for speaking and writing reports.
- Understanding of local culture and especially Aboriginal communities.
- Experience working with children, families, or community services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel weekly between Tennant Creek and AliCurung.
- Current and valid Class(C) driver’s licence.
- Current and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Australian citizenship or unlimited work rights in Australia.

- Employment subject to satisfactory National Police Check, Working With Children (Ochre) Card, Social Media and Adverse Media Check, and NT driver’s licence. International Criminal History check required for overseas residence of 12+ months in the past 10years.
