We are currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to assist with our daily operations at our manufacturing facility based in Smithfield. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning, scheduling and organising the team to meet all production demands required. They will also assist the National Manager - Manufacturing and Quality Assurance Specialist in driving workplace health & safety, food safety & quality standards and continuous improvement throughout manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities:

- Safety First, ensure all employees adhere to WHS practices to minimise safety incidents & lost time injuries.
- Assist National Manager - Manufacturing to lead the production team to achieve a safe and efficient production setting
- Ensure product being manufactured according to HACCP Standards and meets product specifications
- Assist Quality Assurance Specialist in completing Daily GMP & Quality checks
- Ensure daily and weekly production plan are completed in a timely manner
- Supervise team members to ensure production schedule is being met
- Sign off on daily paperwork to verify it is completed as per HACCP guidelines
- Ensure the timely repairs and effective maintenance of site equipment, in liaison with the maintenance team




- Plan and Schedule production in accordance with the orders with the MRP systems and tools provided
- Roster team members in an efficient and cost-effective manner in line with the budget.
- Ensure team member training is completed in all manufacturing functions, in consultation with the National Manufacturing Manager and Quality Assurance Specialist
- Assist the National Manager - Manufacturing in improving and maintaining current MRP systems
- Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards are adhered to and enforced with the team members
- Manage production team compliance to site’s HACCP standards.
- Assist the National Manager - Manufacturing in driving a culture of continuous improvement

Ideal Candidate:

- Proven supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to influence and motivate a team of operators within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of WHS policies and procedures, and the ability to implement and lead team on safety
- Understanding of all aspects of Food Safe/ HACCP environment
