Document Controller – Major Infrastructure Project | Newcastle, NSW
We’re looking for an experienced Document Controller to support a busy design team delivering one of Newcastle’s key infrastructure projects.
This is a three-month contract with the potential to extend depending on project workload — ideal for someone who’s confident managing high volumes of technical documentation in a quick-paced project environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing project document control systems, registers, and filing (digital and hard copy)
- Coordinating document reviews, approvals, and submissions to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring all documentation meets project formatting, version control, and compliance standards
- Maintaining storage, archiving, and confidentiality of project and organisational records
- Supporting the wider project team with document control systems and procedures
About You
- 3–5 years’ experience in document control within engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of document management systems (Aconex experience highly regarded)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident managing workflows, deadlines, and stakeholder communication
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management systems
