Are you ready to lead open-source automation on programs that actually matter?

TTC Global is growing its Melbourne utilities practice and we’re looking for a Test Automation Lead with exceptionally strong open-source automation skills to join us.

You’ll work with TTC’s senior quality engineering specialists across large-scale utilities and energy programs, helping clients modernise platforms, reduce delivery risk and release with confidence. This is a hands‑on leadership role where your technical judgement and automation expertise genuinely shape outcomes.

What you’ll do

- Lead open-source test automation strategy and delivery across utilities programs
- Design, build and evolve up-to-date automation frameworks (UI, API and integration)
- Be hands‑on with code, frameworks and technical decision making
- Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
- Define automation standards, patterns and quality metrics
- Mentor and coach testers to uplift automation capability
- Partner closely with developers, architects and delivery leads
- Ensure automation supports the reliability, safety and regulatory needs of utilities environments

What you’ll bring

- Proven experience as a Test Automation Lead or Senior Automation Engineer




- Strong background in utilities or energy environments (electricity, gas, water or energy retail)
- Deep, hands‑on expertise with open-source automation frameworks
- Ability to design frameworks from the ground up, not just maintain existing ones
- Strong programming skills and a practical engineering mindset
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- A pragmatic approach to quality that focuses on outcomes, not process for process’ sake
- Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO
- REST Assured, Postman, Karate or similar
- CI/CD and DevOps toolchains
- Work for a genuinely independent testing consultancy
- Open-source first, outcome driven and not tool-led
- Lead automation on complex, high-impact utilities programs
- Strong technical community and career progression
- Hybrid working based in Melbourne
