Field Mechanic - Company Vehicle + Monthly RDO
Who We Are
Enerquip is a trusted Australian-owned company supplying high-quality industrial air compressor systems (primarily German-made). Based in Brendale with a second site in Sydney, we’ve been supporting industry across Australia since 1990.
We’re a down-to-earth team that values good workmanship, reliability, and looking after our customers. We look after our people and give them the space to do the job properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands‑on field role covering South East Queensland. You’ll:
Install and commission compressed air systems and pipework
Service and maintain customers’ air compressors
Diagnose mechanical and system faults (very similar diagnostic thinking to cars and engines)
Record work on an iPad using our service software
Give practical advice to customers about their equipment
Do occasional workshop repairs and look after our hire fleet
The work has real variety - different sites and different problems most days. Once trained, there’s also the occasional country trip.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in people who want a change from dealership life or workshop repetition. Ideal backgrounds include:
Dealership mechanics (new or used)
Engine reconditioning / rebuild specialists
Automotive technicians with strong diagnostic skills
You don’t need previous compressor experience. If you’re a solid mechanic who understands how mechanical systems work, you can learn the compressed air side.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is Australian based and has the right to work here
Enjoys diagnosing issues and figuring things out
Takes pride in doing the job properly
Is comfortable working independently in the field
Is happy to work at heights occasionally
What’s In It For You
Competitive pay
Fully maintained company vehicle
Monthly rostered day off
Monday-Friday roster with some overtime available
Stable work in an essential services industry
Real variety instead of the same workshop grind every day
Supportive, no-nonsense team culture
Training provided on compressed air systems
Skills & Experience
Required:
Trade-qualified mechanic (Automotive, Light Vehicle, or similar)
At least 3-4 years hands‑on mechanical experience (dealership, mobile, or engine reconditioning experience highly regarded)
