We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grader Operator to join our agile team on major road projects. As a Grader Operator specializing in final trim operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our construction work. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the development of infrastructure in a collaborative and inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Operate grader machinery with precision for final trim applications on major road projects.
- Utilize non-GPS CAT 14M/140 model machinery proficiently, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
- Engage in occasional bulk earthworks operations, as required by project demands.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, contributing to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Demonstrate expertise in Trimble/Topcon/CAT Grade GPS systems, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety and operational protocols, upholding the company’s commitment to workplace safety.
- Maintain machinery in optimal working condition, performing routine checks.
- Participate in the planning and execution of project tasks, ensuring alignment with project timelines and goals.
- Commit to a five-day work week,
with flexibility for potential assignments requiring travel and extended stays.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a confident final trim grader operator, with a track record of successful projects on main roads.
- Possession of a White Card and RII Grader Ticket is essential.
- Experience with non-GPS CAT 14M/140 model machinery or similar is essential.
- Knowledge of Trimble/Topcon/CAT Grade GPS systems is advantageous.
- Additional tickets such as excavator, dozer, or roller are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Valid Car License and reliable access to a vehicle for commuting to various project sites.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to varying project needs.
- Ability to provide recent Police Check or ability to apply for
- Ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and drug & alcohol screening.
