We are now seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team, supporting core accounting, reporting and month‑end activities across the business.
About The Role
Reporting to a Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant plays a key role in supporting accurate financial reporting and control across Levande’s operations. This is a hands‑on role suited to an early‑career accountant who enjoys working across the full record‑to‑report cycle and contributing to continuous improvement within a medium‑to‑large, complex organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting end‑to‑end month‑end close activities, from transaction processing through to variance analysis and reporting
- Assisting with financial reporting in line with Australian Accounting Standards
- Supporting taxation and corporate reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate general ledger reconciliations
- Working with stakeholders across finance and the broader business to resolve issues and meet deadlines
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
About You
You are currently progressing toward professional qualification and bring a strong technical foundation, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
Essential Experience And Capabilities
- Working toward CA or CPA qualification (Australian certification)
- At least 2 years’ experience in accounting roles within a commercial environment
- Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation and corporate reporting
- Demonstrated experience supporting end‑to‑end month‑end processes (R2R)
- Experience working with medium to large ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across the MS Office suite
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong organisation and attention to detail
- Experience in a mid‑to‑large organisation
- Big 4 Chartered Firm experience at Analyst level (for first‑mover candidates)
- Exposure to the retirement living, property or property development sectors
