The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our Corporate Services – Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in planning, sourcing, and managing procurement arrangements that deliver value for money and support the department’s strategic objectives.
You will collaborate across the department, providing expert advice to stakeholders, leading sourcing activities in line with policy, and supporting effective contract management to drive strong business outcomes. What you will bring to the role
- Procurement & contracts know‑how: Hands‑on experience drafting clear procurement documentation, conducting sourcing activities in line with policy, objectively evaluating tenders, and managing contract variations and performance.
- Market & risk insight: Ability to analyse stakeholder needs and market data, assess procurement risks, and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting.
- Stakeholder partnership: Confident communicator who can explain requirements, resolve issues, and collaborate with finance, legal and business teams to improve outcomes.
- Results with integrity: A commitment to public sector values – delivering quality results, acting with integrity, and supporting a customer‑focused culture.
