- Deliver an innovative model integrating Open Dialogue and evidence-based practice as part of a Victorian Collaborative Centre pilot.
- Full time on going position | 80 hours per fortnight
About the role
As a valued member of the RMH MHS Inner Melbourne Community Mental Health Team, you will work alongside consumers, families and support networks to provide ongoing mental health treatment, care and support. You will also support consumers during periods of increased need or crisis, working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
The team provides mental health treatment, care and support across the City of Melbourne, including Carlton and Melbourne CBD. It offers an innovative, integrated Open Dialogue Model of Care as part of a translational research project under the auspices of the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary clinical and lived and living experience peer workforce, you will bring your discipline-specific perspective to the team and contribute to care that values the voice and participation of consumers, their families and support networks from the beginning of their engagement.
Key Accountabilities
- Co-facilitation of a social network meeting, using Open Dialogue principles and practices (you will not be holding your own client list)
- Provided nursing support to the community mental health team and clinic
- Support consumers with medication as required (may be after hours)
- Physical Health monitoring and promotion for community mental health consumers
About You
- Enrolled Nurses: Current registration with AHPRA and a Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent), including a Board-approved qualification in medication administration.
- Ability to work flexibly and comfortably with uncertainty.
- Willingness to share emotional experiences through reflective practice with co-facilitators during Open Dialogue network meetings.
