Key Accountabilities/Duties
- Lead the Courallie Preschool and Early Education Service in line with the National Quality Framework, WHS, Child Protection legislation, and Council policies.
- Oversee the service educational program and act as Educational Leader when required.
- Ensure children’s wellbeing and safety, uphold their rights, and comply with Keep Them Secure guidelines.
- Resolve issues with staff and parents using conflict resolution/problem‑solving techniques.
- Liaise with services, agencies, communities and families to advocate for and promote education and care.
- Manage and develop staff in line with Council HR systems, policies and procedures.
- Monitor the service budget and ensure full utilisation.
- Ensure compliance with Council systems, relevant legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and local government requirements.
- Use Council software and digital tools to manage the service, administration, records and reporting.
What do you need?
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Primary) or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Mandatory National Child Safety Training from Geccko
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Experience monitoring and managing service budgets
- Current Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting (HLTAID004) or equivalent
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check
