About the Organisation

Medical One is a multi-site primary care group operating 13 clinics across Victoria, NSW, and South Australia, supporting 300+ employees and GP contractors. As the business continues to grow, HR is a lean but critical function — this role will be the HR practitioner in the business, reporting directly to the COO with significant autonomy.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on HR generalist to join Medical One on an initial 3-month contract, with a solid pathway to a permanent position for the right person. You'll own HR operations end-to-end across all sites — covering the full employee/GP contractor lifecycle, award interpretation, and employee relations — while providing direct advisory support to Practice Managers and Area Managers.

This is not a strategic-only role. You'll be hands-on, operating as a standalone HR function without a team around you,



and comfortable owning outcomes independently.

What You'll Bring

- 2+ years of generalist HR experience
- Strong, working knowledge of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (MA000027)
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters — investigations, show cause processes, performance management, and terminations
- Fair Work Commission experience
- WorkCover and return-to-work coordination experience
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft legally sound HR correspondence independently
- High attention to detail
- Extremely organized

Highly Desirable

- Experience in healthcare, medical practice, or multi-site environments
- Understanding of GP contractor arrangements versus employment relationships
- Exposure to psychosocial safety obligations under WorkSafe Victoria
- AHRI membership or a postgraduate qualification in HR or employment law
