This is a great opportunity to work on practical projects that improve road safety, traffic flow and network performance across the Gold Coast region.

About the role
- Provide technical expertise across traffic engineering, road safety and road network operations
- Investigate traffic and road safety issues and develop practical solutions
- Support the delivery of road safety programs and minor works across the region
- Provide technical advice to internal teams and stakeholders
Key responsibilities
- Investigate, analyse and review traffic and road safety issues across the state-controlled network
- Contribute to the Road Safety Minor Works program and identify value-for-money treatments
- Support project proposals for Road Safety Mass Action Plans, Safer Roads Sooner and Black Spot Programs
- Provide specialist advice on traffic investigations, safety programs, signage and line marking
- Prepare technical reports, correspondence and responses to public and Ministerial enquiries
- Communicate technical information and advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Apply relevant engineering standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements
About you
- Bachelor of Engineering, or an equivalent qualification assessed by Engineers Australia
- Experience or knowledge of traffic engineering and road safety principles will be highly regarded
- Solid communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Current Class C driver's licence and Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
- Ability to work across relevant road infrastructure sites
