Wakefield Wheelchair and Equipment Service

We are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Business Support Co-ordinator to support the delivery of the Wakefield Wheelchair and Equipment Service.

This is a key role responsible for coordinating operational administration, leading a small team of Business Support Assistants, managing performance information, maintaining waiting lists, overseeing stock and asset processes, and acting as the main point of contact for contractors and partner organisations.

Working closely with the Business Support Manager,



you will help ensure the efficient delivery of wheelchair and equipment services while driving continuous improvement and excellent customer service for service users, carers and healthcare professionals.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing and supporting up to 7 Business Support Assistants.
- Monitoring service performance, waiting lists and activity.
- Producing monthly and statutory performance reports.
- Coordinating with contractors, suppliers and partner organisations.
- Supporting stock control and asset management processes.
- Overseeing wheelchair referrals, repairs, servicing and maintenance activity.
- Ensuring accurate and confidential record keeping.
- Supporting service improvement, new processes and system developments.
