Due to an internal transfer, we’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our BlueCare Financial Accounting team at an exciting time of digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and lead key month‑end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, accruals and reporting inputs.
- Lead and coordinate the preparation, review, approval and lodgement of grant acquittals, ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and completed on time.
- Prepare, review and analyse financial information ensuring reporting is complete, accurate and supported by appropriate evidence.
- Support key finance activities including BAS, FBT, audits and other statutory reporting obligations.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational leaders to provide trusted financial advice and insights.
- Drive process improvements, strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
- Contribute to finance transformation and technology initiatives that support continuous improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

- Confidence to satisfy relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies, e.g., Nationally Coordinated Police Check, Right to Work in Australia, Insolvency Check.
- CAANZ/CPA qualification (or equivalent) with tertiary studies in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex data sets.
- Analytical, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.




- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and explain financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Passion for continuous improvement and finding smarter ways of working.
