About Therapeutic Guidelines Limited
Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent, not-for-profit organisation established almost 50 years ago by leading members of the Australian healthcare community. About The Role
As an Editor, you will work closely with remote practitioners and specialists to track, assess and distil practice-changing evidence into explicit, practical and accessible clinical protocols for use in remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Reporting to the Program Director, you will receive structured and comprehensive orientation and training in our editorial processes, content standards and publishing systems, combining formal skills and process training with experiential learning and regular feedback. You will gradually take on greater responsibility and autonomy, with career development and progression supported at all levels.
You will also have opportunities to contribute to process improvement and innovation, and user engagement.
About You
You are a skilled clinical professional who communicates clearly, manages competing priorities and works constructively with a range of stakeholders. You are committed to evidence-based practice and to culturally safe care, and you are interested in applying your clinical expertise to the development of trusted national guidance.
You Have
- a tertiary qualification in pharmacy, medicine, nursing or health sciences
- at least 3 years of postgraduate clinical experience, preferably in central or northern Australia, in another remote setting, or working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or community-controlled health services
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- strong project management and problem-solving skills
- excellent attention to detail
- the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in editing, guideline development or digital publishing would be highly regarded but is not essential.
