We are looking for a Paraplanner to join our Financial Planning team working from either our Cranbourne or Prahran offices.

About the Role

This is the role that makes high-quality advice possible. You'll own the technical production of our advice documentation and the research behind it, so that every Statement of Advice and Record of Advice leaving Highview is accurate, compliant and defensible.

Day to day you'll be preparing SOAs and ROAs from adviser instructions, running the modelling and scenario comparisons that support each recommendation, and researching super, investment and insurance products against real client situations. You'll manage a queue of concurrent jobs and be trusted to give realistic delivery dates and hold to them.

You'll work directly with our Financial Advisers and report to the Head of Financial Planning. Because we're a multi-disciplinary firm, you'll also see how advice interacts with the accounting and tax side of a client's position, which is exposure most paraplanning roles can't offer.

About You

We're looking for someone with experience in a paraplanning or financial planning support role. You're precise with numbers, you write clearly, and you catch errors before they leave your desk. You ask the question when an instruction is ambiguous rather than guessing at what the adviser meant.

You'll also bring:

- Demonstrated experience in a paraplanning or financial planning support role
- Sound understanding of superannuation, investment and insurance concepts
- Working knowledge of the regulatory framework governing personal financial advice
- Strong written communication: you can explain technical concepts plainly
- The ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple advice jobs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial planning software

Responsibilities

- Prepare tailored Statements of Advice and Records of Advice from adviser instructions
- Perform financial modelling, scenario comparisons and portfolio analysis
- Research investment, superannuation and insurance products relevant to client scenarios
- Maintain and update model portfolios in line with our investment framework
- Review advice documentation for accuracy, consistency and compliance alignment
- Maintain complete, audit-ready client files across the advice lifecycle
- Keep client data accurate and consistent across the CRM and planning software
- Provide explicit, proactive status updates and flag bottlenecks before they cause delays
- Support and share technical knowledge with less experienced team members
