$63,500 – $67,000 per year dependent on experience

Volleyball WA (VWA) is the peak body for volleyball in Western Australia, driving the growth of the sport across indoor, beach and pathway programs.

Over the past decade, volleyball in WA has experienced strong and sustained growth, with increased participation, expanding competitions and a rising profile across the community. This momentum has been driven by a passionate team at Volleyball WA supported by our network of clubs, athletes, volunteers and partners.

VWA is now entering an exciting recent phase, focused on building participation and elevating the visibility of the sport at all levels, including through the continued development of our diversity and inclusion initiatives. There has never been a more exciting time to be part of volleyball in Western Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month contract.

This is a hands-on role responsible for developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives to increase participation and diversify the volleyball participant base.

Key Responsibilities

Increase participation rates of people from diverse groups with a focus on Aboriginal people, people with a Disability and Seniors.

In conjunction with the Club Development Coordinator, integrate inclusion strategies within Volleyball WA, member clubs and associations.

Increase knowledge and awareness of best practice inclusion strategies both internally and externally.

About You





You are a motivated and organised individual with a passion for promoting and delivering diversity and inclusion initiatives within a sport or community environment.

You will bring:

A sound understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion principles and the ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.

The ability to build productive relationships, collaborate with stakeholders and influence positive outcomes.

The ability to plan, coordinate and deliver projects and programs, including managing priorities, resources and timelines.

The ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and contribute to innovative approaches that improve participation and inclusion outcomes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop resources, deliver education and advocate for inclusive practices.

The ability to identify opportunities, solve problems and contribute to innovative approaches that improve participation and inclusion outcomes.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage reporting, budgets, data and compliance requirements effectively.

A collaborative approach, commitment to organisational values, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Relevant qualification in sport and/or inclusion and diversity.

Experience in sport or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
