Where you’ll be working
This role is situated within a progressive regional maternity service that handles over 500 births annually, featuring a level 4 role delineation and a level 3 special care nursery. Joining a collaborative multidisciplinary network of specialist obstetricians, midwives, and paediatricians, you will benefit from a reliable peer support structure and an environment committed to continuing education. The department maintains robust partnerships with major universities, offering excellent opportunities for clinical placements, research, and medical student mentorship. Furthermore,
the upcoming facility redevelopment allows incoming consultants to actively participate in service design and the modernisation of clinical spaces.

Salary
The current base salary range for this position is $197,583 to $232,267 per annum, paid in accordance with the NSW Health Staff Specialists (State) Award. This base is supplemented by a mandatory 17.4% special allowance ($34,379 to $40,414), 12% employer superannuation, and high-value Training Education and Study Leave (TESL) funding ranging from $40,400 to $47,700 per year.
The estimated total remuneration package is valued between $365,000 and $400,000 per annum.
Requirements
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent. SIMG Obstetricians and Gynaecologists eligible for the expedited registration pathway are encouraged to apply.
