As theOperations Performance & ComplianceManager,you'llplay a critical role in shaping the safety, governance and performance framework that supports one of Jetstar's most operationally critical functions. Sitting at the intersection of compliance, risk management, operationalperformanceand continuous improvement,you'llhelp ensure our teams meet regulatory obligations while driving smarter, more effective ways of working.
This is far more than an audit and compliance role.You'llbe a trusted advisor to leaders across Operations Delivery, influencing business outcomes, leadingauditsand safety initiatives, and helping shape the future direction of operational performance across Jetstar.You'llhave the opportunity to challenge the status quo, drive meaningful change, build strong partnerships across Jetstar and the Qantas Group, and represent Operations Delivery through occasional domestic and international travel supporting audits, stakeholderengagementand compliance initiatives.
The core responsibilities of this role will be:
- Lead and manage compliance,governanceand safety management activities across Operations Delivery.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory andorganisationalrequirements are met.
- Facilitate safety forums, governancemeetingsand stakeholder discussions, providing transparent recommendations and driving accountability.
- Partner with leaders across Jetstar and Qantas Group to manage risk, improveperformanceand strengthen compliance outcomes.
- Deliver meaningful reporting and insights that support business decision-making and operational improvement.
- Identifyopportunities to streamline processes, improveefficiencyandleveragetechnology to enhance operational outcomes.
- Build and foster a proactive safety and compliance culture across the business.
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert on compliance,governanceand operational performance matters.
To be considered, key skills will include:
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability toinfluence atall levels of theorganisation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, withconfidencefacilitating meetings and presenting complex information.
- Experience leading audits, investigations, compliancereviewsor governance activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance detail and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
- A passion for continuous improvement,innovationand finding smarter ways of working.
- Safety-first mindset with a strong understanding of risk,complianceand regulatory requirements.
