The Role
Knight Frank is currently seeking a client-side Senior Project Manager who can grow into an Associate Director level role within a few years to join our Sydney team. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of projects including education, residential, commercial, retail and industrial for some of Australia’s leading clients and household names. You will operate in a fast-paced and collaborative workplace, engaging with various business units across Knight Frank Australia to deliver integrated, high-quality outcomes for our Institutional, Government and Corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project management services across all clients bases and sectors, and mentor junior staff to teach them delivery excellence by example.
- Procure and manage commercial project teams including design consultants, certifiers, and contractors for works.
- Oversee design management, budget development,
and cost control and reporting.
- Understand approval pathways and mechanisms relevant for types of projects being delivered.
- Manage tender processes and contract administration across various projects concurrently.
- Contribute to key client groups by leveraging past clients and relationships internally and externally.
- Collaborate with state and national heads of business to identify and pursue growth opportunities across clients and sectors.
- Support business development, client engagement, and proposal preparation.
- Ability to manage a small team individually or as part of a project delivery structure.
- Have a network of past clients, consultants and contractors and be comfortable being involved in client and business development activities.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum 7-8 years’ experience in project management, development management or construction within the real estate or development industry.
- Degree level qualification or equivalent in a property related discipline such as architecture or engineering, project or construction management.
- Proven track record in delivering various projects at different stages concurrently and gaining client trust through excellent delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics, procurement strategies and pricing models.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions for clients whilst ensuring appropriate sign off and risks are mitigated.
