The role:
As a Team Leader – SIL, you will guide and support a small team of Active Support Workers to deliver consistent, high-quality care within a home environment. You will ensure daily operations run smoothly while upholding person-centred Active Support principles. Coordinating with Client Care Managers and external stakeholders, your role is pivotal in maintaining continuity of care, safety, and a positive team culture.
You will mentor and motivate your team to perform confidently and compliantly, modelling organisational values and best practice in disability support.
Requirements:
Certificate III in Disability or related field (Certificate IV or Leadership qualifications preferred)
Must agree to set rotating roster involving afternoons/ Saturday work
Minimum 1-2 years’ team leadership experience in disability or community sector
At least 2 years’ direct support experience with clients presenting complex needs or behaviours
Strong knowledge of Active Support and person-centred approaches
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team effectively
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster including sleepover shifts
Current First Aid, CPR, NSW Driver’s License, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
