HAPPYSOUL CATERING PTY is looking for Skilled Head Chefs to join our dedicated kitchen team to run our outlets at 87a Jubilee Ave, Beverley Park NSW 2217 As a Head Chef in our Happysoul Catering Group you’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring creativity, consistency, and quality across every service.
You’ll lead by example, from hands-on cooking to mentoring your team and maintaining strong cost and quality controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service, staff supervision, and consistent quality.
- Coordinating daily service and kitchen operation
- Preparing and cooking food
- Menu development and daily specials
- Managing stock control, ordering and food costing
- Ensure quality and presentation of all foods.
- Training and developing kitchen staff.
- Manage staff rosters to ensure efficient coverage and optimal workflow.
- Receiving & storing food stocks, kitchen supplies and equipment
- Advise on cooking procedures and demonstrating techniques
- Discussing food preparation issues with senior management
- Maintaining quality, preparation and presentation of dishes quality
- Implementing systems & procedures
- Implement, explain and enforcing hygiene regulations & secure workplace.
- Select and train staff.
- Freeze and preserve foods.
Key Requirement
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery & Diploma Level
- Minimum 1 – 2 years experience as a Chef in a similar role
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit
- Honest, humble, and results-driven
Job Type: Full time Salary: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
