Job Description

The Role Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring Oxfam Australia’s stories are managed, protected and shared effectively.

You’ll support digital asset management, coordinate content production and creative projects, and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation in delivering engaging, ethical and impactful content.

Through strong governance, collaboration and continuous improvement, you’ll help amplify Oxfam’s mission and maximise the reach and impact of our campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

- Create engaging and impactful video content in response to stakeholder briefs and organisational needs.
- Collect video and photo content where needed, including supporter interviews, events, appeals and social media pieces.
- Commission and manage freelance creatives, oversee content projects and maintain strong relationships with creative partners to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Provide expert advice, training and support on digital asset management, ethical content practices and content systems across the organisation.
- Ensure content complies with Oxfam policies, legal requirements and ethical content guidelines, maintaining strong governance and data security practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support content gathering, digital archives and public engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to budget planning and manage project expenditure within areas of responsibility.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing content systems, workflows and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the Senior Content Producer in managing Oxfam Australia’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, ensuring digital content is secure, accessible and well maintained.
- Coordinate the end‑to‑end content lifecycle, including content intake, production, archiving and distribution to support organisational and campaign objectives.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Strong, demonstrable experience in writing and visual storytelling,



with a proven track record of delivering high-quality content that is audience led, on brand, on brief, on time and on budget.
- An understanding of, or genuine interest in, the not‑for‑profit sector, international development and ethical storytelling.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to streamline processes and enhance content systems and workflows.
- Proficiency using digital media technologies and industry-standard creative software to support content production and publishing.
- Experience coordinating multiple content projects and managing competing priorities within budget and agreed timeframes.
- Knowledge of copyright, licensing, metadata standards and ethical content practices.
- Demonstrated experience in content workflows and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems in a complex environment.

A little about you

- Extensive experience in content production, filming, photography and editing for major digital channels.
- High‑level working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Experience managing industry standard digital asset systems and content libraries.
- Strong communication skills; ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
- High attention to detail; ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
