The Opportunity:

Ready for a tree change? This role is based in Tasmania, and that's the best part. Here you can trade long commutes and big city pace for a genuine work/life balance, in a place where nationally significant projects sit alongside world-class wilderness, a thriving food scene, and a commute measured in minutes, not hours. With offices in Hobart, Launceston & Devonport, you'll do meaningful engineering work while living somewhere that gives you your weekends back.

If you're in Sydney and have been considering a move, this could be the chance you've been waiting for!

Due to our upcoming pipeline of work across Energy (Hydro, Solar, Wind, Transmission), Industrial, Development and Transport markets we are interested in talking to civil engineers who would like to be involved in a variety of innovative and technically challenging infrastructure projects in Tasmania and across Australia. Working with private and government clients, you will contribute to projects ranging from smaller developments to major infrastructure projects, with a focus on high-quality, financially and environmentally sustainable outcomes.

What you'll do:

Work on a diverse range of civil engineering projects, including access roads, bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, utilities coordination and pavements.

Contribute to major projects across the energy, renewable energy, resources, water, transport and civic sectors, working with clients and project teams across Australia.

Take ownership of design packages and coordinate delivery, while supporting and reviewing the work of other engineers and designers.

Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documentation.

Build strong relationships with clients and work closely with project managers, design managers and multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Apply quality,

safety and project requirements throughout the design process, ensuring solutions are practical, compliant and fit for purpose.

Continue building your technical and professional capability through mentoring, internal development opportunities and professional accreditation pathways.

Use your experience and engineering judgement to deliver outstanding outcomes for clients

What You Bring:

We welcome applicants who are passionate and motivated to join us, even if they don't meet every single requirement.

Around 8-15 years' experience in civil engineering design and project delivery, ideally within a consulting environment.

A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering

Experience working on projects involving earthworks, roads, drainage, utilities and associated infrastructure across a range of sectors.

Strong technical skills in civil design, coordination, reporting and technical documentation.

The ability to manage competing priorities, apply sound engineering judgement and deliver quality outcomes for clients and project teams.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

A proactive approach, a willingness to take ownership and the confidence to work both collaboratively and independently.

A genuine interest in continuing to learn, develop professionally and contribute to a positive team culture.

A preference to be based in Hobart, although we also welcome applications from candidates located in Melbourne,

Brisbane or Sydney.
