The Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team. This role involves carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, inspections, and rectification works across residential and commercial properties, including both occupied and vacant managed properties.

You will work closely with tenants, property managers, and internal team members while completing compliance inspections and maintenance works to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform electrical installation, repair, and maintenance works
- Conduct electrical safety inspections and smoke alarm compliance checks
- Complete rental minimum standards compliance checks
- Identify electrical defects, hazards, and non-compliance issues




- Carry out electrical rectification and maintenance works
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and relevant legislation
- Complete reports, photographs, certificates, and documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, and clients
- Maintain safe work practices and comply with WHS procedures
- Represent Gen Z Trade Group professionally while on site

Skills & Experience

- Current Australian Electrical Licence
- Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and compliance requirements
- Experience with electrical safety inspections and smoke alarm compliance (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Qualified communication and customer service skills

Requirements

- Current Electrical Licence
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to pass background and compliance checks if required
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
