Architectural Documenter — High-End Residential

Habitas Design is seeking an experienced Architectural Documenter to join our design + build practice, working across residential projects.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in Construction Documentation, with a good understanding of how architectural documentation translates into procurement, coordination and used on site.

The Role

You will work across a range of project stages, including:

- Town Planning and multi-residential application documentation/management (based on experience)

- Design development

- Construction Documentation

- Consultant coordination

- Building permit documentation

- Detailed architectural and construction detailing

- Coordination with builders, trades, suppliers and manufacturers

- Shop drawing and fabrication review

- Site and construction support

Revit is our primary documentation platform, so strong Revit capability is important. AutoCAD is occasionally used to support specific documentation and coordination requirements.

Design + Build

Habitas sometimes operates in conjunction with 3000 corporation as architect/designer and builder, therefore our candidate should have a direct understanding of how projects are procured, coordinated and built.

Where projects are constructed by external builders, Habitas remains closely involved through Contract Administration, representing the client, monitoring the architectural outcome and providing additional documentation and coordination informed by the systems we use to manage our own builds.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants exposure beyond a conventional documentation role and is interested in understanding the complete process of delivering a high-end home.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in high-end residential architecture

- Solid Revit capability

- Town Planning documentation experience

- Construction Documentation experience

- Strong technical and architectural detailing skills

- A sound understanding of residential construction

- Experience coordinating consultants

- High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

- Confidence communicating with builders, trades and consultants

- An interest in materials, fabrication and how buildings are actually constructed

Experience with Contract Administration, construction sites, fabrication, procurement or manufacturing will be highly regarded but is not essential.
