We're looking for a Buyer Manager to lead the recruitment, qualification and end-to-end management of our Hosted Buyer program, connecting the right event planners with the right opportunities, and ensuring an experience that delivers real value for exhibitors and buyers alike.

The Role

As Buyer Manager, you will own the recruitment, qualification and administration of AIME's national and international Hosted Buyers. You'll manage your own Hosted Buyer database and pipeline in HubSpot, oversee the application and vetting process, and coordinate everything from invitations through to on-the-ground logistics. This role spans sales, marketing, customer experience, communications, IT and operations,



working within the buyer team and your Buyer Engagement Director, the marketing team, AIME partners and MCB.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing and growing the Hosted Buyer database in HubSpot to build a robust pipeline for each show
- Delivering on annual Hosted Buyer targets set by the Buyer Engagement Director
- Managing the domestic and international invitation and application process, including visa timelines
- Qualifying and vetting buyer applications against Hosted Buyer criteria
- Coordinating flights, visas, accommodation and transfers for Hosted Buyers
- Supporting the IT platforms (HubSpot, Grip and MyAIME) alongside the Systems and Customer Manager
- Support the Buyer Engagement Director with hotel accommodation partners and intermediaries to support recruitment

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualifications in business, communications or similar, with a minimum of five years' business events experience
- Strong, adaptable communication skills across external clients and internal stakeholders
- Exceptional time management with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and deliver outcomes
- Highly organised with superior attention to detail
- Expert stakeholder management with a proven track record of building relationships
- Experience with event registration software and database management platforms
- Genuine passion for the events industry and knowledge of the broader events landscape
- Proficient in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel) and Outlook, with the ability to learn new systems
- A positive, driven self-starter who works well autonomously and as part of a team
- Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to different working environments
- Experience working with international buyers and cultures
- Flexibility to travel interstate and attend events outside normal business hours, including over summer
