Customer Security Director (CSD)
The main purpose of this exciting role is to enable sales of our full product and service portfolio by providing customers with proof points that convey our security position and support them in achieving their security goals. The CSD strengthens Ericsson’s capability to sell, deliver and develop solutions that optimally meet customer security needs.
What You Will Do
- Be part of a diverse security and privacy team, continuously learning and growing.
- Proactively establish yourself as a trusted security advisor to customers and internal partners.
- Provide security advice to Ericsson Customer Units and decision‑makers.
- Serve as the key contact between the Customer and Ericsson regarding Security, Privacy and BCM.
- Ensure customer security and privacy concerns are identified, acknowledged, addressed and accurately reflected in the contract, and verify contractual delivery of promised security.
- Support pre‑sales and post‑sales activities by assessing requirements and advising on appropriate solutions or services.
- Offer expertise across risk assessment, governance, data management, product privacy, product security hardening, ISO 27001 controls, vulnerability assessment, and other security domains.
- Drive project delivery and gap closure by analysing technology, defining requirements,
and participating in risk analysis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Leadership of internal security projects with strategic oversight and hands‑on management.
- Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication of security and compliance to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, security, or related field; master’s preferred.
- 8–10 years’ experience in cybersecurity.
- Solid domain expertise in telecom industry and/or IoT, including product security, privacy and general cybersecurity.
- Understanding of solution security for the telco space (Open RAN, Service Based Architecture, Core and RAN interfaces, network slicing, distributed cloud, managed services, XaaS).
- Knowledge of local security regulation and communication space.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, assurance schemes and regulations.
- Excellent written and spoken English; international and social competence.
