Tanielle Jai is an Australian founded makeup brand (BRONZOUR, STAYLINER and more), built on founder Tanielle Jai's 20 year career as a makeup artist. We've been in ecommerce for five years, growth has outpaced our systems, and we're now creating a new role to bring structure and ownership to a tight-knit, fast-moving team.
About the role
We're mid scale-up: finalising major wholesale and retail partnerships and growing into new international markets. Most of that currently runs through the founder's head instead of a system. We need someone to own it.
This is a role for someone who spots problems before they become urgent: catching seasonal trends, stock gaps, or quick-selling shades early enough to reorder ahead of time, not after the fact. You'll own our supplier, wholesale partner and 3PL relationships end to end, negotiating pricing, MOQs and terms directly rather than waiting to be told what's needed. You'll bring the same ownership to inventory, production timelines and packaging decisions, working through trade-offs like whether packaging is better sourced overseas or onshore.
As you build trust in the role, you'll take on more of the day-to-day supplier and partner communication, freeing the founder to focus on strategy rather than logistics. There may be opportunities to travel to meet suppliers and negotiate in person.
We're Type B founders who move fast and think in ideas. We need a Type A who thinks in systems, sequences and follow-through.
What you'll own
Inventory, replenishment and seasonal forecasting across our Korean, German and Chinese manufacturing partners
Supplier, wholesale partner and 3PL relationships end to end, including pricing, MOQ and terms negotiation
The operational backbone: Shopify, WMS,
spreadsheet based tracking systems, and building out what's missing
International expansion support: sourcing fulfilment partners and logistics as we grow into new markets
Turning the numbers (sales, stock, freight cost, margins) into decisions, not just reports
Keeping major wholesale and retail commitments on schedule against production and freight timelines
What you bring
3+ years in ecommerce operations, supply chain or logistics, ideally in a small or scaling DTC brand rather than a large corporate structure
Proven ownership of supplier, wholesale or 3PL relationships, including direct negotiation experience
Strong Shopify experience, comfortable in the admin without a walkthrough
Genuinely fluent with AI tools as part of daily work, not dabbling
Sharp with spreadsheets, turning data into decisions rather than just reports
Calm, organised, low drama under pressure, you make good calls without waiting for permission
Nice to have
Experience with international freight, customs or dangerous goods/battery shipping
Exposure to wholesale operations alongside DTC
Experience working across AU, UK and/or US time zones
A track record of building process or automation from scratch, not just following an existing one
What we offer
Direct line to the founder, no layers to navigate
Genuine autonomy to build your own remit as the business scales
Flexibility: mostly remote, 1–2 days in our Brisbane office
The chance to build the operational backbone of a brand that's about to go international, and get proper credit for it
